‘CONNECTIONS’ AT GREYFRIARS GALLERY

This exhibition which is curated by Ciara Gilbert and Ruth Brennan  is open until Wednesday the 13th of May in Greyfriars Municipal Art Gallery, Greyfriars Gallery is open Tues-Sat 10-5.

Connections is an exhibition of Municipal artwork exploring the connections between artists, styles and genres from the 19th to the 21st century. It features work by Paul Henry, Jack B. Yeats, Mary Swanzy, Ann O’Regan, Louis LeBrocqui and many more. The aim of this exhibition is to create and find conversations between the works, we can compare and contrast for their differences and similarities, these connections can manifest itself in many forms such as the subject matter or technique. ‘Connections’ is not just about the paintings themselves, it is also about the artists and their connection over time, spanning over many years each influenced by what had gone on before.
