This 3-day intensive weekend workshop with Brian Smyth, artist and tutor from the Angel Academy of Art, Florence, Italy, provides an excellent introduction to the classical portrait painting. This workshop will use preliminary exercises such as a master copy portrait painting before graduating to painting the life model. It will also demonstrate some of the principles and techniques currently being taught at the realist painting academies in Florence and elsewhere.
