Ciara Scanlan & Matthew Nevin, Directors of CIACLA / MART Gallery Dublin are delighted to announce an open call for the pilot programme of CIACLA – Contemporary Irish Art Centre, Los Angeles – during the summer of 2019.

They are casting the net wide and would like to hear from artists, musicians, performers, writers, agents, bookers, gallerists and everyone working in Contemporary Irish Arts – Film, Theatre, Music, Performance, Literature, Comedy, Visual Arts.

CIACLA – Contemporary Irish Arts Centre, Los Angeles

CIACLA shall promote Contemporary Irish Culture through a multidisciplinary programme, coinciding with local and international cultural partnerships. CIACLA aims to develop a creative platform to support and challenge Irish artists, working across disciplines, as a means of promoting Irish culture in Los Angeles.

CIACLA is led by Matthew Nevin & Ciara Scanlan of MART Gallery & Studios Dublin, with support from the Government of Ireland: Emigrant Support Programme.

What are they looking for?
Submissions from all art forms for our 2019 and 2020 programme.Currently we have no restrictions on form or realisation of the work.

The Work?

They are looking to receive proposals of existing work that has already been exhibited, performed, created.Please give links to the existing work. Right now any other form of application / proposal will not be accepted.

Ideally, a PDF of the work, or a website page, or a video link is wanted.

No matter how big or small your artwork or performance, they would like to hear from you.

Please do not email your proposal.

The Venue & Budget:
  • exclusive use of a venue – most likely a 1000 – 2000 sq foot space in Los Angeles.
  • most likely have a budget to ship your work [and performers] – within reason.

We are sourcing sponsorship to cover fees etc.
