Heinz Pollmeier Memorial Concert

Continuing on its busy Autumn touring schedule and before becoming complete festive in

December, Chamber Choir Ireland presents a very special concert programme this November.  Taking its title from Bachianas Brasilieras  by Villa-Lobos, this is quite the musical journey where South America meets Europe, and the 20thcentury hurtles back to the 18th century.  Villa-Lobos takes the baroque style prelude and fugue influence into his treatment of Brazilian folk, Mauricio Kagel, born in Argentina, but moved to Germany continues the chorale tradition, while Berg and Bach expose the Baroque and 20th century treatments of the chorale.
