Central Arts July Comedy Club – Part of the Summer in the City Festival.

Have a midweek laugh with us as Central Arts in association with the Lisa Richards agency presents a double-bill of two top stand-up comedians each Wednesday in July!
Some of Ireland’s hottest – and funniest – comedy acts perform brand-new new, one-hour, work-in-progress shows. Check them out, for this bargain price, before they head to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

3rd July – Julie Jay and Shane Clifford

After working in retail for 10 years Shane Clifford decided, on a whim, to upload some silly videos to the internet. The videos dealt with issues such as mental health and masculinity through an original, absurd and most of all funny lens and after accidentally attracting a small, but devoted, following he decided to give stand up a go.

Julie Jay is a comic who has taken the comedy world by storm in recent months and already has many impressive accolades under her belt, including winning the Forbidden Fruit Comedy Search 2017; as well as performing at Vodafone Comedy Festival 2017/ 2018; Electric Picnic 2018; All Together Now 2018; and reaching the regional finals of ‘Funny Women’ 2018.
