Building the Body: A Summer Arts & Craft Workshop for children

The Waterford Healing Arts Trust will run a Summer Arts and Craft programme for children in the WHAT Centre for Arts & Health, Waterford Regional Hospital (WRH) from Monday 22nd July to Friday 26th July from 10am to 12pm. The workshop is for children aged between 8 and 12 years old and costs €45 per child.

Building the Body will look at how the body is displayed through art. It will focus on the many artworks in the WRH art collection that are on display in the hospital. The children will experiment and create artworks inspired by the body. If your child ever wanted to cast a limb, build a life-sized person or create some miniature men then this is just the opportunity to do that!

There will be an exhibition of the completed work on the final day for the participants’ friends and families.

To book contact WHAT on 051 842664 or email WHAT@hse.ie by 12th July 2013.
