Poet Mark Roper and Photographer Paddy Dwan launch their 2nd collaborative book The Back Strand – Tramore’s Open Secret in Greyfriaes Municipal Gallery this Friday.
The authors will be signing copies after a reading and presentation of many of the images from this most evocative area on Waterford’s doorstep. The Backstrand comprises a large tidal lagoon, almost completely cut off from the sea by sand dunes. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty, rich in wildlife, and also rich in culture and history.
