Three of Waterford’s leading cultural organisations are to provide free digital access to their collections and programmes through an exciting new partnership with the renowned global arts and culture app by Bloomberg Philanthropies. 

The Waterford Gallery of Art, Garter Lane Arts Centre and Waterford Cultural Quarter have each launched a new digital guide on Bloomberg Connects, making them the first Waterford-based institutions that are now accessible for either on-site or off-site visits through the app. These guides offer photo, audio, and video features offering insights into current and past exhibitions and events, behind-the-scenes anecdotes related to the artworks, detailed explanations of artist work processes and the long-standing histories of these cultural organisations. 

A free digital guide to cultural organizations around the world, Bloomberg Connects makes it easy to access and engage with arts and culture from mobile devices, anytime, anywhere.  

Explore the Waterford Gallery of Art’s collection of almost 800 pieces on rotation through themed exhibitions showcasing historic pieces alongside works of local artists. Meet the talented artists who create their work at the Garter Lane Arts Centre Studios and   learn about the Centre’s core programming of theatre, films and exhibitions. Explore Waterford’s past and present cultural and historic legacy through self-directed tours that Waterford Cultural Quarter offers using Bloomberg Connects integrated geo-tagged maps.
