Granted by Waterford City Council, GOMA Gallery of Modern Art Waterford formerly known as SOMA Contemporary is proud to announce the official launch of Beyond the Gallery. Beyond the Gallery is a collection of works by Artist Collective Rise Again, and Waterford Traditional Crafts.
We have invited artists collective Rise Again to work alongside GOMA Studio artists for a ten week period to make contemporary art. The works that were created over the ten week period were then interpreted by the Waterford Traditional Crafts. The aim of the initiate was to create a conversation without dialogue.
GOMA Gallery is dedicated to innovation, and interpretation of modern and contemporary art, through the use of educational initiatives and collaborations. Our mission is to foster within a society, an awareness, understanding and involvement in the visual arts through policies and programmes which are, innovative and inclusive.
