Thursday 29 to Saturday 31 August 2013
Irreverently witty and outright uproarious, Avenue Q is the musical story of Princeton, a bright-eyed college graduate who arrives in New York City looking for love, a job, and his purpose in life. The only neighbourhood he can afford is the multicultural Avenue Q, where Sesame Street-esque puppets rub shoulders with humans. Part felt, part flesh, Avenue Q is packed with songs that are surprisingly poignant and only occasionally PC.
From the people that brought you Cats and the people that brought you Guys and Dolls/Seussical, Ignite Productions are delighted to announce the fusion of Vicki Graham and Richie & Erica Hayes for this summer’s hottest ticket in town. This production will star some of Waterford’s best known and loved performers!
Avenue Q holds a special place in Broadway history. It pulled off one of the biggest upsets in Tony history by snatching the best-musical award from the hands of Wicked. So get you tickets fast as this is one you DON’T want to miss!
Due to adult language and situations Avenue Q is not suitable for all audiences. Parental discretion is advised for children 13 and under however there will be a special PG version on Sat at 2pm performed by a younger cast.
