Following its previous and highly acclaimed collaborations on Blackwater Angel by Jim Nolan and Wife to James Whelan by Teresa Deevy, Garter Lane Theatre and WIT return to the stage in November with the first production in eight decades of Mount Prospect by Una Troy. Premiered at the Abbey Theatre in 1940 and adapted from the novel of the same name, Mount Prospect will be directed by Jim Nolan, with Set, Sound and Graphic Design from students of the School of Humanities at WIT.

As with previous collaborations, Mount Prospect will be cast from a combination of local amateur actors and Theatre Studies students at WIT. Auditions for the production will take place at Garter Lane Theatre on Saturday July 7th.

With some roles already cast, the session will focus on the parts of Mrs. Sullivan and Mrs. Cronin, both in their Fifties, and the younger roles of Winnie Sullivan (18) and Mary Kennefick, (24).

Actresses interested in auditioning for these roles should contact Martina Collender (Tel: 0857522156 or Email: martinacollender@gmail.com) to arrange a script and audition time.

Mount Prospect will rehearse from September 25th next and run at Garter Lane Theatre, Waterford from November 10th to 17, 2018.
