ArtLinks partners in Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford and Waterford City & County Council will soon be announcing the details of the collaboration award 2022. In advance of this opportunity, Kilkenny and Wexford Arts Offices will hold two online information clinics for the upcoming collaboration award. ArtLinks members from Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford and Wexford are advised to attend one of these sessions if you are considering making an application or are interested in finding out more about the Collaboration Award.
The ArtLinks Collaboration Award is a relatively new award and seeks to encourage more collaboration between artists across the ArtLinks counties and support artists seeking to expand their practice and networks regionally. The award must involve collaboration between artists from two or more ArtLinks counties in the development of new work, to be showcased in two or more ArtLinks counties. Session 1: The Friday Fix with – Wexford Arts Office
9:30am until 11:00am on 25th February with Wexford Arts Officer Liz Burns who will outline the opportunities for Wexford artists in 2022 including the ArtLinks Collaboration Award 2022. Collaboration Award recipient Laura Ni Fhlaibhín from The Materials Matter collective Ábhar Ábhar’ will also discuss their collaborative practice and its relevance to the award.
This is the first of the weekly Friday Fix sessions which will take place on the last Friday of each month on Zoom. These sessions, hosted by curator Eamonn Maxwell, present an opportunity for Wexford artists and members of Artlinks to connect whilst also participating in sessions aimed at helping develop your career.

Session 2: Wednesday Weeklies- Kilkenny Arts Office
On Wednesday 2nd March from 10 am, Kilkenny Arts Officer Mary Butler, will introduce the ArtLinks Collaboration Award 2022. Also, in this session, we will hear from previous recipients Clare Breen and Mary Conroy about their collaborative project Material Matters. Followed by last year’s awardees Catherine Marshall and Gerda Teljeur from Na Cailleacha.
