“Art on the Railings” is a joint collaboration of Destination Waterford City Tourism, Waterford Arts Office and The Viking Triangle Trust Co.
The aim of the exhibition is to give artists the opportunity to connect and build the art community within the city. We are using the festival dates to utilize the amount of visitors to the area, therefore maximising the visibility of the artworks and sales opportunities.
How Does it Work?
Simply get in touch via email or Facebook and sign up with a submission form (so we have your contact details). Artist spaces are approximately 4 feet across and artwork is to hang from railings only. The event is held from 11am to 4pm each Saturday and we ask all artists to be in place 30 minutes before event at a minimum. Exhibition is weather dependent and all participants will be contacted at 5pm the day prior to the event in the event of adverse weather.

The AOTR’s organisers retain a discretionary policy for participation, please do not hang anything that would offend our visitors, children or your mother! AOTR’s do not hold artwork insurance. As there are no facilitators on site, all artists taking part in the event must invigilate their own space. Artists will be grouped accordingly including collectives, groups and/or mediums as appropriate. Please do get in touch with any questions.
