[(being) DIGITAL REVERIE] is the name of the solo show by Dungarvan based Artist Anthony Hayes at Soma Contemporary Gallery, Waterford.
Born in Wimbledon, England to Irish parents, Tony studied at Putney, Wimbledon, and Kingston School of Art before moving to Ireland in 2007 to continue his practice as an artist.
In this current body of paintings Tony explores contemporary technology and how we as beings interface with the phenomena of digital media, and how it pervades our existence on a daily basis.
Featuring Pastels, Paintings, Prints and Installations Tony’s work draws the viewer into the chaotic mundanity surrounding today’s human interactions.
