ANIMATED COMMUNITY: Celebrating the power of the arts in our lives

Come and see, hear, touch, taste, listen, move, laugh, sing…….be moved and inspired.  Over 15 community groups from around Waterford have contributed to this performance of Visual Art, Crafts, Dance, Music, Song, Drama, Spoken Word, Poetry and Creative Writing.
The roots of this groundbreaking event are firmly planted in the rich soil of participatory arts programmes delivered by the Community Education Programme of Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board, in partnership with Animated State Dance Company’s Artistic Director, Libby Seward.

People take part in community arts for many reasons….to get out of the house…to meet new people.. explore their creativity…..have some fun.
Participation in the arts has the power to connect people, change our lives and strengthen our communities.
