Drawing the human figure from life is perhaps the most challenging subject an artist can face. This workshop shows you the classical approach to life drawing, following a manageable step-by-step procedure and slowly unravelling this complex subject matter.

This course, with Adrian Cooke, will provide you with a good grounding in the structure and anatomy of the human body, an understanding of how the Old Masters approached the figure, familiarity with working with a live model, and many basic drawing skills, producing a finely rendered figure drawing by the end of the week.

Drawing Instructor Adrian Cooke is a largely self-taught visual artist. He has selected areas of study and interest, such as the classical atelier method, to inform the style and ethos of his work. He works predominantly in traditional drawing and painting media, regarding these fundamental skills and techniques as essential building blocks in his work.

Classes are on Thursdays for 10 weeks from 7:00pm to 9:30pm

Price: €300
