Our Deepest Apologies | Lunatraktors
10th–24th January 2026, GOMA Waterford
Lunatraktors are a performance art duo disguised as a folk band, obsessed with decolonisation, non-dualism, speculative folklore, queering tradition, resistance, ritual, and lament. They explore archives, museums and ruins, balancing improvisation and research, clowning and ceremony, mythology and memorial.
In Our Deepest Apologies, Carli Jefferson and Clair Le Couteur bring together nine years of Lunatraktors practice, moving between costume, video, audio, sculpture, performance and installation. The root of ‘apology’ is apologia—a formal defense of ideas, beliefs, or actions, rather than an expression of regret. At the heart of Lunatraktors’ work is a similar tension: how do we grapple with the past? How do we connect to heritages so tainted with imperial violence and misrepresentation? Who have we been, who are we now, and who might we become?
Please join us at GOMA Waterford on Saturday 10th January 2026 from 6–8pm for the official launch of Our Deepest Apologies, with an opening night reception and performance by Lunatraktors. Admission is free and all are welcome!
