GOMA Waterford is excited to announce an open call for exhibition proposals for available dates in its 2026 programme, celebrating the gallery’s 10 year anniversary!
This is a milestone year for GOMA Waterford, and we invite artists across all Visual Arts disciplines to submit proposals that push boundaries and reflect a bold, ambitious vision. We are looking for work of exceptional artistic quality that engages audiences through innovative explorations of place, politics, and people.
About GOMA and its Programming
GOMA hosts approximately eight exhibitions per year, alongside an active programme that includes professional development workshops, networking events, residencies, emerging artist and curator awards, as well as performance and music events. Our outreach programme works inclusively with local groups, new communities, and young people, embracing diversity in all our initiatives.
GOMA exhibits work by both emerging and established artists whose practices engage with socio-political themes. Exhibition selections are based solely on the artistic merit of the work.
GOMA’s education and outreach programmes reflect our commitment to fostering dialogue through events, workshops, talks, and performances, providing audiences with opportunities to engage meaningfully with art.
Our exhibitions are typically programmed 12–18 months in advance, with selections made by GOMA’s Chief Curator, external curators, and our panel of Directors.
