Observing Faith: Waterford – The Invisible Made Visible, Culture Night 6-9 PM 19 September

Observing Faith: Waterford – The Invisible Made Visible:

A free public participation art event, all welcome.

Come and join us on Culture Night for a collective tile making workshop.

Bring a small important object or item with you to make a symbolic space within a ceramic tile as a creative representation of your belief, faith or values.

This is a Creative Ireland funded project in association with the recent Waterford Gallery of Art Exhibition, ‘Faith in the Process’.

Artist’s Statement:

Niamh Ni Chearbhaill has studied and created social engagement, found and sculptural art using object agency as a way to connect and communicate with both the viewer and participant on various topics including the loss and gain of community during covid and the irony of our treatment of the environment. She is currently working on a project with Waterford Gallery of Art called Observing Faith, looking at the object agency of spiritual, religious, and meaningful objects of faith.
