To coincide with his curent exhibition ‘The Score & Other Works’, curated by Peter Power, artist James L. Hayes will launch a new limited edition catalogue at GOMA Waterford on Saturday 19th July at 1pm. The Launch will be followed by an artist’s talk in which Hayes will discuss the exhibition and share insights into a selection of his recent projects. The Catalogue includes texts by Peter Power – artist, curator and composer – and a specially commissioned essay by artist, producer and curator Dobz O’Brien. “This publication brings together a selection of Hayes’ recent works, offering a window into the diverse concerns and evolving methodologies that define his practice. Through cast objects, sculptural assemblages and site-responsive installations, Hayes continues to probe the sculptural potential of history and matter – creating work that is as intellectually rigorous as it is materially compelling”.
