WATERFORD YOUTH ARTS PRESENTS ‘OUR TOWN’ BY THORNTON WILDER DIRECTED BY JIM NOLAN

Waterford Youth Arts with Garter Lane Arts Centre presents ‘Our Town’ by Thornton Wilder directed by Jim Nolan designed by Dermot Quinn and supported by Waterford City and County Council. Jim Nolan returns to collaborate with Waterford Youth Arts; a group of young talented actors on their flagship production of 2015 following the successful production of ‘The Crucible’ last year.

With a cast of 30 young Waterford actors this is a must see summer production marking Waterford Youth Arts 30th anniversary year.

Set in the fictional American small town of Grover’s Corners, Our Town tells the story of an average town’s citizens in the early twentieth century as depicted through their everyday lives. First produced and published in 1938, this Pulitzer – Prize winning drama of life in Grover’s Corner has become an American classic and is among Thornton Wilder’s most renowned works.
