The debut album of new Irish auteur Aoife Nessa Frances (pronounced Ee-fa) is shot through with a sense of mystery – an ambiguity and disorientation that illuminates songs with smokey luminescence. “The album title is a result of a mishearing. Cian Nugent [Aoife’s musical collaborator and co-producer] was telling me about childhood trips he made to Llandudno in Wales, passing through a station called Llandudno Junction,” reveals Frances. “Land of No Junction later became a place in itself. A liminal space – a dark vast landscape to visit in dreams… A place of waiting where I could sit with uncertainty and accept it. Rejecting the distinct and welcoming the uncertain and the unknown.”
Tara Kennedy, also known as Aliensincaves, is an 18 year old singer from the heart of Waterford City. They have been performing since tthey were 12, and has two EPs currently out. They’re first smash hit, Weekdays, has thousands of views among platforms and has been performed for Global Pride 2020 in front of millions. They take their inspiration from Clairo, Cavetown and Mitski.

Junior Brother

An idiosyncratic, challenging and richly lyrical singer/ songwriter, Junior Brother is the pseudonym of Co. Kerry, Ireland singer Ronan Kealy. Chosen as one of RTÉ’s Rising Irish Stars of 2018, and as one of The Irish Times’ contenders ready to break through in 2019, Junior Brother has built a rabid following thanks to unmissable live shows, and music both excitingly forward-looking and anciently evocative. His strange stories unfold with reckless abandon upon an idiosyncratic Guitar and Foot Tambourine accompaniment, influenced as much by the avant-garde as music from the Middle Ages and his home place in rural Ireland.

Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin
Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin is a Dublin-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. His musical roots lie in the sean-nós style of his father, and he grew up listening to the likes of Sorcha Ní Ghuairim, Seán ‘ac Dhonncha, Colm Ó Caoidheáin and other greats from the tradition. He is also influenced by folk singers from the English language tradition such as Liam Weldon, Thomas McCarthy, Margaret Barry and Luke Kelly.
Eoghan is a member of the band Skipper’s Alley and has toured in Europe and North America with them. He has collaborated with Mary Ann Kennedy from Scotland and Ruth Keggin from the Isle of Man on their Aon Teanga: Un Chengey album (2015), which explored the musical and linguistic ties between the Gaelic languages of Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man. He has performed with folk/electronica band Jiggy and has featured on both their albums, Translate (2017) and Hypernova (2020). He also collaborates with Clare fiddle and viola player Ultan O’Brien, and the duo released their début album Solas an Lae in 2020.
