‘BETWEEN THE BARS’ RETURNS WITH IN THE WILLOWS, THE CASANOVA WAVE AND ELM

Venue: St. Patrick’s Gateway on Saturday 14th November at 7:30pm featuring In The Willows, The Casanova Wave and Elm.

In The Willows is a group that blurs the lines between folk, alternative, pop and rock to create their own heart-warming and aurally fulfilling sound. They have released numerous records such as their debut EP ‘Vantage Point’ which was a precursor to their debut album ‘Before Everybody Disappears’ released in September 2013, and they have just finished recording their second EP in the renowned Attica Studios, which they will play in full for the first time.

Hailing from Waterford, The Casanova Wave is the creative outlet of Brian McCartan. The Casanova Wave emerged onto the Irish music scene with a self-titled debut EP during the Autumn of 2010 and earned him a mention in The Irish Times ‘Best Irish Acts of 2010’ list. The happy-go-lucky mix of warm electronica and fresh live instruments are complimented by an array of sounds, melodies, bouncing rhythms, bright guitars and pulsing synths

Elm are a five piece band from Dublin with a dark earthy quality to their music, which has been described as Alternative Baroque Pop. Diligent & emotive, Elm will carry you through quiet reflective moments then weave you in with immersive sound and lyrics.

Momo restaurant will offer a special pre-concert deal consisting of a 2 course Early Bird meal with a glass of wine or Metalman beer to all ticket holders for €21.50, with the official after party held in Henry Downes’ from 10pm for the more courageous.
