In his Artform outdoor oil painting course, Tony will guide the visiting artists in painting clifftop views, boats, waves, village scenery and woodlands easily accessible from the village of Dunmore East.
Over the three days of the course, Tony will share tips on what materials and equipment to use, how to paint efficiently, how to capture light and atmosphere, how to judge values as well as how to deal with colour-mixing. Tony prefers to paint in oils but will endeavour to make this course adaptable and applicable to painters who prefer acrylics, pastels and water media. There will be ample time given to answering questions on painting effectively in the field. Each session will feature a demonstration and some one-to-one tutoring. The course is designed to give its attendees tools to afterwards take part in a wide range of outdoor painting events with confidence.
