Waterford City and County Council Artist Bursary – Theatre Forum Waterford Gathering
Theatre Forum is delighted to be working with Waterford City and County Council Arts Office to offer a bursary for an arts practitioner based in the Waterford area to attend the Theatre Forum Gathering in Waterford City on 30th and 31st May 2023.
The Theatre Forum Waterford Gathering will take place in the Theatre Royal and Garter Lane and will be a landmark event for the performing arts community. Ruth McGowan (newly appointed Literary and New Work Director at the Abbey Theatre) will curate a series of provocations and panels on 30th May. This will be followed by an artistic programme curated by Lynn Cahill and dinner that evening. On the 31st May there will be a Walking Tour around cultural spaces and Waterford Walls, followed by installations and group sessions.
Approx. 250 people will attend and will be a mix of independent artists, arts worker, festivals, venues, production companies, resource organisations and funders. You can find out more about the event on www.theatreforum.ie.
The Artist Bursary will cover:
Ticket to Theatre Forum Waterford Gathering includes all day sessions, two lunches, dinner, coffee breaks and the artistic programme
Artist Honorarium of €150
Applicants must be living in the Waterford area.
Deadline to apply: Monday 15th May 2023.
Please note that the bursary will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The artist will receive €150 (artist honorarium) on 31st May.
