SCATTERING – GATHERING AND CAVALRY EXHIBITION

Come along to Garter Lane Arts Centre Fri 8 Feb at 6pm for the exciting double opening of Scattering- Gathering by 20ten and guests and Cavalry by John Conway. Conor Nolan, Waterford City Arts Officer will officially launch the two exhibitions followed by an ambient electronic performance by miXile at 7pm as part of Waterford New Music Week 2013. All are welcome, with light refreshments served, so why not join us for this free special evening of art, music and fun. 

Scattering – Gathering is an exhibition that looks at aspects of emigration and immigration and features work by 20ten artists and guests. 20ten is a Waterford based collective of distinctly diverse artists; Pat Carri, Kevin Connolly, Róisín Kinsella, Darragh Lyons, Pat McArdle, Christine O’Brien Shanahan, Conor Rush and Milia Tsaoussis-Maddock. Artists Magda Karol from Poland and Willemein Koelink from Holland along with two Waterford artists Kate-Bowe O’Brien, now living in Edinburgh and Andrea Caulfield, based in Australia have also responded for this exhibition. Also opening alongside Scattering- Gathering on Friday 8th Feb at 6pm is the stunning Cavalry by John Conway in the new front of house (FOH) Space. Cavalry is the first of six exhibitions to open in the FOH Space and is kindly supported by AIB.
