NYCI YOUTH ARTS SUMMER SCHOOL 2013

‘How to Build a Parade’. The three day residential summer school returns this year from Wednesday 19th-Friday 21st June and will take place on the campus of NUI Galway. Full details are available in our online brochure at the following link: http://www.youtharts.ie/yass2013

This year’s summer school will offer participants the inspiration, practical know and skills to create the most exciting, dynamic and high quality youth arts performances for their parade be it local, national or international. Participants can create and perform with spectacular large scale puppets with street theatre and spectacle innovators, Buí Bolg, drum with renowned bodhrán player, percussionist and Riverdance performer, Robbie Harris, or engage in three days of innovative physical performance and movement with the thrilling UK based theatre company Frantic Assembly.
An ‘Early Bird’ price of €260 is available if booking and payment is completed by this Friday May 17th. This price includes three nights accommodation, meals throughout the summer school and a three day workshop.
The residential summer school is designed for anyone working with young people in the non-formal education sector (youth workers, youth arts practitioners and youth work volunteers) who wishes to explore ways of introducing, enhancing and extending youth arts provision for the young people with whom they work. It is aimed at both those looking to improve their art-form and delivery techniques or those totally new to youth arts.
