Project Music is proud to present The Alberi Piano Trio Soiree in House of Waterford Crystal on Wednesday the 29th May, at 7:30pm. The Repertoire will include Beethoven ‘Ghost’ Trio Op. 70 and Brahms Piano Trio Op. 8 no.1, and will feature Billy O’Brien, Waterford born concert pianist, as part of this stunning Piano Trio.
The Alberi Piano Trio members, Yseult Cooper Stockdale, Jane Hackett and Billy O’Brien all studied at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, and there cultivated their love of chamber music, which remains central to their performing careers.
Yseult works extensively with both RTÉ orchestras while also performing as a soloist and chamber musician. Last year Yseult joined London’s Southbank Sinfonia for their 2018 season. Since moving to London, she has also enjoyed working with Welsh National Opera, and returns frequently to perform in Ireland in a chamber and solo capacity. In 2018 her concerto performances included the Schumann Cello Concerto with the Cork Fleischmann Symphony Orchestra, and Beethoven’s triple concerto with Wexford Sinfonia.
Jane studied at the RIAM and the University of Limerick; and also abroad in Austria and Indiana, and took masterclasses with leading pedagogues, including Maxim Vengerov. She now enjoys a diverse career of mixed repertoire, spanning from solo, chamber and orchestral to experimental performance art and contemporary music. She made her solo debut with the RTE Concert Orchestra in 2015, and since then has given several solo recitals including the RDS Rising Stars Concert and Music in Great Irish Houses.
Billy enjoys an active career as soloist and chamber musician. He made his concerto debut with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra in 2016 playing Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. Other recent concerto appearances include the Ravel G major concerto at the National Concert Hall with RIAM Symphony Orchestra, and the Beethoven Triple Concerto at the National Opera House with Wexford Sinfonia. He has recently given solo recitals in Malaga, Spain, at the New Ross Piano Festival, Triskel Arts Centre Cork, and the National Gallery.
