Arts Forum Waterford is pleased to announce an open invitation to local arts workers who wish to learn more about applying for funding, making a pitch and marketing your art. This free event will be hosted by GOMA Gallery of Modern Art Waterford.
Presentations on the night will come from:
Nick Kavanagh: Pitfalls to Avoid when Applying for Grants
John O’Connor: Pitching for Public Commissions and other Grants
Zack Shay: Marketing Your Artwork
All are welcome along to this free event.
Arts Forum Waterford will also seek your suggestions at the end of this event for future gatherings on what topics people would like to explore.
Speaker Notes:
Nick Kavanagh works as a self-employed theatre maker working with diverse groups. He creates theatre and street theatre and two of his most recent productions received Arts Council support.
John O’Connor was previously the head of Waterford IT’s Art Department before he retired. He is also a visual artist who has successfully won numerous public sculptural commissions.
Zack Shay is a business coach and marketing expert with a passion for the arts.
