DESCRIPTION:GOMA GALLERY OF MODERN ART. DEADLINE – 18TH of January 2024 AT 5PM\nGOMA Gallery is currently welcoming submissions for available dates in its 2025/2026 programme. The programme is open to all disciplines of Visual Arts practice. GOMA has approx. 8 exhibitions per year\, with a programme of professional development workshops\, networking events\, community events\, residencies\, emerging artist awards\, emerging curator awards\, performance events and music events. GOMA’s outreach programme works inclusively when organising such initiatives\, taking local groups\, new communities\, young people and diversity into consideration .\nGOMA exhibits the work of emerging and established artists who are committed to producing work within a socio-political framework. Work exhibited is selected on merit only.\nThe education and outreach programme at GOMA reflects the organisations interests with place\, politics and people through a programme of events\, workshops\, exhibitions\, talks and performances that allow audiences to engage.\nThe gallery is programmed 12–18 months in advance. Selection is made by GOMA’s Chief Curator\, external Curators and the panel of Directors.\nSUBMISSION PROCEDURES\nAll submitted proposals should be through email to info.gomawaterford@gmail.com by 5pm on the 18th of January 2024.\nPlease include the following in pdf format: \nProposal: detailing your aims and objectives.\nArtist Statement:  Discuss how your proposed project is situated in relation to your current artistic practice.\nImages: minimum of ten examples of your work.\nC.V.: Describe your artistic background to a maximum of three pages. \nEXHIBITION SERVICES AND PAY\nIn accordance with the Arts Councils policy on artist pay we ensure all artist exhibiting receive an artist fee. DESCRIPTION:The closing date for Expressions of Interest is 5pm\, Monday 8th May 2023. \nCreate invites expressions of interest from collaborative socially engaged artists\, or artists interested in/transitioning into collaborative socially engaged arts\, who wish to avail of a focused period of mentorship to develop and consolidate their practice. The closing date for Expressions of interest is 5pm\, Monday 8th May 2023.practice. \nThe Mentoring Award is funded through the Artist in the Community Scheme (AIC)\, managed by Create on a devolved basis for The Arts Council. \nThe Mentoring Award sits within a suite of offerings under the AIC Scheme. It aims to offer capacity building and arts practice development for collaborative socially engaged artists. Through the Mentoring Award\, artists from the Artist Mentor Panel will be available as mentors to emerging practitioners\, artists with a strong interested in/transitioning into collaborative socially engaged arts\, artists who find themselves on the margins and feel they are underrepresented in the field of collaborative socially engaged arts\, for example due to displacement or migration\, and artists facing particular challenges in developing their collaborative socially engaged arts practice. There will be five artist mentors and five artist mentees. \nThis opportunity is for collaborative socially engaged artists at any career stage who identify with the above and are seeking support from a critical friend/guide as they develop their projects. For the five selected artists\, the award offers a six-month period of capacity building and arts practice development through dialogue with an experienced collaborative socially engaged artist mentor. \nThere will be an information session happening online\, on Wednesday 5th April.
