Come & join the new Waterford Dance Artist-in-Residence Dee Grant in an inspiring professional development workshop experience for dancers & movement artists looking to engage with the tools of making dance for an outdoor performance environment. This workshop will focus on taking inspiration from the outdoors, bringing nature into the studio, our relationship with the earth/environment & explores working with site-specific concepts.
This workshop forms part of a series of professional development workshops by Dee Grant over the year, that explore the development of the solo artist & nurture of key improvisation/choreographic skills to help advance professional work with emerging or mid-career artists.

Dee is former co-founder and artistic director of Myriad Dance and has shown produced/choreographed dance work at Dublin Dance Festival, Dublin Fringe Festivals, Carlow Arts Festival, Spraoi International Festival, Wexford Fringe Festivals and Dan Celebration Arizona. In the past, Dee has worked with dance artists, Wolfgang Hoffman, Ella Clarke, Janis Claxton and Joan Davis and has worked extensively outdoors with/on medieval ruins, old historical gardens & many derelict & outdoor sites in the past. Dee regularly lectures with Dept of Applied Arts at Waterford Institute of Technology and has vast experience of leading initiative performance projects for several local authorities through-out Ireland.
