CULTURE NIGHT AT GOMA: 22 SEPTEMBER

GOMA Waterford will celebrate Culture Night with a bang this year with a host of exciting free events – there’s something for everyone no matter your age, interests or tastes!

Including: 

LIVE DJ: Dusty vinyl beats from the very talented DJ Jacqui Ní Chéileachar, incorporating funk, soul, hip hop, afrobeat, and world bangers from Ethiopia to South America (5pm – 6.30pm)

LIVE BAND: A deep dive into the heart of Oi! with a raw and relentless live set from Waterford punk contingent SYMPOS (8pm–10pm)

CHILDREN’S WORKSHOP: An engaging and eco-conscious art-making workshop for children focusing on the animals of the Arctic, led by GOMA studio artists Rhys Wallace and Caoilfhionn Hanton (5pm – 6pm)

TETRA PAK PRINT WORKSHOP: A guided workshop in beautiful fine art printing on recycled materials aimed at adults and older teens with GOMA studio artist Anne McDonnell (6pm – 7pm)

VISUAL ART: A late-night showing of visual art with Angela Gilmour’s thought-provoking meditation on climate change, land possession and border politics in her exhibition Without Borders (12 noon – 10pm)
