Aileen Donohoe – Christmas By Candlelight
Aileen has been performing in the West End for a number of years. She performed in the smash-hit musical Wicked for 5 years and won an Olivier for best ensemble performance. She sang in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera and in the international hit Mamma Mia as well as Beauty and the Beast. Aileen recently toured Ireland with her one-woman show, A Date with Doris based on the songs of Doris Day. She played to sold out houses and standing ovations all over Ireland, including The National Concert Hall, The Cork Opera House and The Theatre Royal, Waterford.
Christmas by Candlelight is a beautifully festive evening, featuring Christmas Carols and Hymns, big band favourites by Doris Day, Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby and Judy Garland and even pop classics by Wizzard, Slade and Shane McGowan.
West End Musical Director, Robert Scott is flying to Ireland especially for the concert. He is currently musical director on the West End and international production of Singin’ in the Rain and he has composed stunning arrangements for the show.
In the breath-taking surroundings of Waterford Castle, this will be an evening not to be missed.
