Some of Ireland’s hottest – and funniest – comedy acts perform brand-new new, one-hour, work-in-progress shows. Check them out, for this bargain price, before they head to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
10 July – Gearóid Farrelly and Eleanor Tiernan
Gearóid Farrelly is a regular at Irish festivals including the Vodafone Comedy Festival, Kilkenny Cat Laughs, Electric Picnic, Halloween Howls, Galway Comedy Festival and is a regular touring support to some of the country’s top names and supported comedy royalty, the late Joan Rivers, on her tour of Now or Never in Dublin and the UK. He has completed national tours with PJ Gallagher, Neil Delamere and Maeve Higgins. He has also supported Tommy Tiernan, Jason Byrne and Rich Hall in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre. Gearoid recently supported Sarah Millican on a number of her UK tour dates.
Eleanor Tiernan is an Irish comedian well-known among Irish audiences for her live stand up performances and her work in TV, theatre and on radio. She was featured on Stewart Lee’s Alternative Comedy Experience on Comedy Central and has played Latitude, Glastonbury, Montreal Just For Laughs and all of the top Irish comedy festivals.
