On Dec 2 Artform Annual 44 Art Exhibition opened at 44 The Quay, Waterford.
Following the success of the last three years, Artform Annual Exhibition reopened for its fourth edition in the stunning three storey period building at 44 The Quay in the Waterford Cultural Quarter  in the festive context of Winterval – the Waterford Christmas Festival.
With nearly 300 art works by 170 Irish-based artists, this is one of the biggest exhibitions of visual art in Ireland every year. This year’s annual show features both contemporary and plein air artists included by invitation and through an open call selection process.
The carefully curated show offers an opportunity for conversation of artistic expressions by selected established Irish artists as diverse as

- Fergus Martin @fergus_martin_artist,
- Pat Harris @patharris.info,
- Vera Klute @vklute,
- Elaine Byrne @elainebyrneartist
- and Salvatore of Lucan @salvatoreoflucan to name a few.
In collaboration with GOMA Gallery Waterford and the Waterford business community, a series of prizes including solo show opportunities as well as monetary awards were awarded to artwork of merit in selected categories to the following artists:
- Artform #WaterfordPlatform Award solo show -Ben Hennessey @ben.hennessy.visual.artist;
- GOMA solo show awarded jointly – Ciaran Bowen @ciaranbowenartist and Mary Butler @littleredhen_ ;
- Frisby Homes@frisbyhomes Artist of Distinction Award – Zsolt Basti @zsoltbasti18;
- Â Dlight @dlight_ie and DVF Print and Graphic Solutions Artist of Merit Award – Michael O’Leary @michaelolearyart and John Albert Duigenan @johnalbertduigenan;
- The strand Inn @thestrandinn Plein Air Award – Tony Gunning @tonygunningartist;
- Mentorship Award – Sile Walsh @silewalshartist.
All artwork is available for sale in the gallery at 44 The Quay, Waterford, and shortly also in our online gallery at www.artform.ie.
The exhibition is open daily from the 2nd to the 23rd December, Monday to Saturday 12 noon to 6pm and Sunday 1pm to 6pm.
No appointment is necessary, please observe public health guidelines when visiting.
