Libraries across the country are joining with First Fortnight to shine a spotlight on mental health-related books during the month of January.
From factual texts to brilliant works of fiction and helpful information books, readers will be spoilt for choice as libraries highlight texts that will open up discussion around mental health.

Libraries include braches in Roscommon, Offaly, Monaghan, Kilkenny, Kerry, Dublin, Mayo, Meath, Donegal, Waterford, Sligo, Laois, Galway, Tipperary, but remember every library has a wealth of information, so just ask your local librarian for help!

For events, the Waterford EDIC have arranged for the Waterford Walls to paint a section of wall in the Central Library teenage section on the theme of positive mental health. The Waterford EDIC is also partnering with Garter Lane Arts Centre for Petra Kindler’s play ‘It’s in the Blood’ showing on 8th & 9th January.

SpunOut.ie will be sending a facilitator to run a positive mental health workshop for teenagers on 16th January in Central Library as part of the Healthy Ireland at your Library programme.
