FAKEScience Gallery Dublin is seeking proposals for up to 20 works for FAKE, a free exhibition that asks if life is better when we embrace the artificial.

Proposals may be new or existing works, and will be funded up to a maximum budget of €2800, which should include all artist fees, materials, equipment, shipping, travel etc. Please note that these are maximum amounts and they enthusiastically welcome proposals that come in below the maximum budget. They are happy to write letters of support for applicants seeking funding from elsewhere.

Arts centre south tipperarySouth Tipperary Arts Centre in partnership with Tipperary Arts Office is delighted to announce that applications are now open for an artist residency from October 2017 to January 2018.

The residency is open to Tipperary-based artists from all disciplines, including (but not limited to) film, photography, literature, performance, painting, sound, architecture, music, installation and digital platforms, theatre and dance. The artist will be given a space to research their project, as well as the opportunity to experiment in the workshop. The artist will give a work-in-progress presentation at the arts centre at the end of their residency.

Reel Art 2017, Filmbase

reelart-logoLaunched in 2008, Reel Art is designed to provide film artists with a unique opportunity to make highly creative, imaginative and experimental documentaries on an artistic theme.

Operated in association with Filmbase and the Audi Dublin International Film Festival, Reel Art will wholly support two films with grants of €70-€80,000 per project. Reel Art films will premiere at the Dublin International Film Festival in February 2019.

ilDÁNA, Galway Film Centre

ilDÁNA-title-high-resTG4 and the Arts Council/an Chomhairle Ealaíon, in association with Galway Film Centre, are delighted to announce a new round of ‘ilDÁNA’. This is an exciting new opportunity for documentary film-makers to make a once-off, landmark and cinematic long-form documentary on the arts in Irish. Two projects will be selected with funding of €80,000 each for creative documentaries which will have both a theatrical window as well as a primetime TG4 broadcast. Film-makers are encouraged to be explore subject matter and approaches that are creative, inspired, distinctive and ambitious in scope to deliver a 60 to 70 minute film.

Galway Film Centre will administer the commissioning of the ‘ilDÁNA’ films and TG4’s ‘Terms of Trade’ will apply. Representatives from TG4, the Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon and Galway Film Centre will select the projects for ‘ilDÁNA’.
