#Modpoets and Stagemad theatre Company Present #Modwordsfest Waterford’s first spoken word festival and arts showcase.

All kinds of words splat about our city. This is a non funded non profit showcase of what our City has to offer. Focusing mainly on words, shown through, open mics, short plays, music, abstract, book sales, book swop with the extra treats of film, dance, art and a secret show in a secret location and of course a wind down session. Two full days of our hearts through art, free for our city to spectate and enjoy.

Greyfriars Gallery:      12.30 Poetry reading (All are welcome to join in. Book in advance)

Local Book Sale

All day Book Swop

Greyfriars Courtyard: Art on the Steps (All types of artists welcome to come along and display/sell their work, No prior experience/reputation necessary)

3pm: Spoken word shout out from the steps

 

The Fat Angel:            Spoken word Open Mic

Short plays from writers such as Catherine McVicker, Anna Jordan, Garrett Keogh & Martina Collender

The Bookcentre:          Waterford Youth Arts show case

1-3pm Spoken word and Short plays

3pm Little Red Kettle pre-show teaser

5pm Short play by Petra Kindler

 

Garter Lane Arts Centre: 3pm Film and movement. Films by Mick Fortune and Ruth Flynn, Alana Daly Mulligan, Selena o Sullivan & HK Stuart

GOMA:                       Workshops

1.30pm Introduction to Journalism with Colette Colfer

2.30pm Introduction to Novel writing….And getting published with Derek Flynn

3.30pm Introduction to Acting with Ema Lemon

 

 

SECRET SHOW:       7-10pm, Over 18s. Brand new Music/spoken word/visual/aerial showcase, dancers, film & spoken word

Sunday 16th July

The Fat Angel:              1-3pm. Short plays by Hannah Carberyy & Leah Marshall. Spoken word with Alec McAllister.

The Bearded Lady:     3pm. Music and spoken word with Darragh O Connor and Guests.

Geoffs Cafe Bar:        4pm. Short plays by Jamie John Patrick Flynn & Anna Jordan.

Jordans American Bar: Craic agus Ceol. Music and spoken word and the best of the wind down fun

    I can do greyfriars and the secret show on the saturday and anything else ye require more people for if yer stuck
