ADVICE FOR FILLING-IN WATERFORD’S 2017 ONLINE ARTS PRACTICE GRANT APPLICATION
When you are applying for a grant make sure that you click the grant appropriate to you – e.g. if you are an individual (not a Band or a Theatre Group etc) click the link that has individual in the title.
When you click the link you will be brought to the online application page. It may be a good idea to print it out so you can gather the relevant information before starting on it.
You will notice a dropdown window – click the relevant description about you and in the 2nd dropdown window click the grant relevant to your application.
- Some people have asked about whether it’s necessary to fill in all sections of the application and in particular the section that covers PPS No./Tax No./VAT No. The answer is you should fill in the relevant data. If, for example, you are an amateur drama group, the Council requires either Tax details or PPS details in order to pay you your grant. If you do decide to leave it blank and there is a competitor with a similar product of a similar nature and quality and they have filled in the relevant section – the grant award will go to them based on governance.
- We have also been asked how much could someone apply for in the Playwright & Producer team grants (Theatre) or the Screenwriter & Producer team grants (Film)?
Both are fixed ‘Two Stage’ grants and are dependent on the quality of the applicant’s proposal. For the Playwright & Producer team grant – Stage One is €1,500 and Stage Two is €1,500. For the Screenwriter & Producer team grant – Stage One is €250 and Stage Two is €3,500 Plus the use of Digital media equipment for filming and editing (conditions do apply).
When you finish the application – Click the Submit link. You will then be brought either to a page that requests you fill in areas you have left out or you will be brought to a page that summarises your application. Click the the confirm link and your application will be sent straight to the Council.
