WATERFORD’S WRITERS’ WEEKEND MARCH 20TH – 23RD

WatWriters 03The Waterford Writers Weekend 2014 celebrates the art and the craft of writing. This lively weekend is filled with workshops, readings and debates designed to engage and delight audiences. Based in Ireland’s oldest city, which celebrates 1100 years in 2014, this year Waterford’s history and heritage will take centre stage. Taking place across Waterford’s finest Arts venues, including Waterford Library, Greyfriars Gallery, the Medieval Museum and Garter Lane Gallery, the Festival promises an exciting weekend of readings, workshops and seminars through the city.

WatWriters 02As always, the Seán Dunne Young Writers Awards commemorates the writing of the Waterford poet and celebrates the work of aspiring young authors with a special ceremony kicking off proceedings on Thursday March 20th.

A full programme of children’s events, historical talks and inspirational speakers make this festival one for all the family. Programmes are available in libraries and in and around Waterford.
