Our Last Chieftain O’Sullivan Beara by Aidan Dooley

Using Celtic myths, an original score and brilliant storytelling Aidan tells the true tale of how this heroic leader of the Beara people, tried valiantly to save his Clan against the vicious onslaught of the angry Tudor Queen intent on ensuring Ireland would never aid the Spanish again and in doing destroys the last Celtic embers of Gaelic Ireland.

Followed by a whiskey tasting with Irish Whiskey expert and author of the Whiskeys of Ireland, Peter Mulryan.

Fly Me to the Moon by Marie Jones

From the author of the smash hits Stones in His Pockets and Women on the Verge of HRT comes this brand new comedy directed by the author.

Francis and Loretta are community care visitors. Davy, one of their elderly charges, has had a significant win on the horses, but he doesn’t know. When the cash-strapped women learn that Davy will not be around for a considerable time they are faced with a mouth-watering dilemma.

Bust the OperaBust the Opera by Alec McAllister & Ben Hanlon

Friday September 13 & Saturday 14, 8pm

Bust is a new Waterford opera with libretto by Alec McAlister, and music by Ben Hanlon. Joey Power is moving in soccer’s fast lane, playing in the Spurs first team, having just got a cap for Ireland. Disaster strikes and suddenly he has nothing to live for. With a team and cast from Waterford the opera is inspired by the story of Irish soccer player Richard Sadlier, who’s  promising career ended when he broke his leg in a match.
